As a Site Reliability Engineer on the Embedded team, you will design, scale, and manage AWS-backed services for millions of connected IoT devices.
Your role will ensure services and new products operate smoothly, achieving a 99.99% availability SLO.
You will leverage and advance the infrastructure and Kubernetes environment, focusing on thoughtful implementations and advanced troubleshooting.
Responsibilities include collaborating with engineering and product teams, improving monitoring and alerting capabilities, and providing guidance on scaling and architecture.
Requirements:
You must have 4+ years of professional SRE/DevOps experience with high volume production systems.
Experience with Horizontal Pod Autoscaling (HPA) and other scaling techniques in Kubernetes is required.
You should possess advanced knowledge of AWS services and technologies, including ALB/ELB, IAM permissions, DynamoDB, SNS, and EKS/Fargate.
Proficiency in infrastructure as code and configuration management, particularly with Terraform and Helm charts, is necessary.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Bash is required; familiarity with Ruby or Golang is a plus.
A high level of ownership and the ability to work collaboratively to implement improvements is essential.

Compensation for this position ranges from $109,000 to $156,000 USD, depending on location and other factors.
