Remote Site Reliability Engineer

• The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will work remotely and play a critical role in ensuring the stability, reliability, and scalability of systems and applications.
• The SRE will collaborate closely with development teams to build and maintain resilient systems, automate operational tasks, and implement robust monitoring and alerting solutions.
• The primary goal of this position is to minimize downtime, optimize performance, and drive improvements in system efficiency.
• Responsibilities include designing and implementing monitoring and alerting systems, automating operational tasks, analyzing system performance, and maintaining security and disaster recovery plans.

Requirements:

• Candidates should have 3+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps, or similar role.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, including container orchestration (ECS is used).
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails or Python and RESTful API development is required.
• Experience with real-time systems, location-based services, and/or telephony apps (e.g., Twilio) is a plus.
• A strong preference for candidates who have a healthy hatred of all things Windows.
• Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (Redis) is necessary.
• Familiarity with system scalability, performance management, and agile methodologies is expected.
• Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD tools, and project management software (Jira, Bitbucket) is required.
