The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will work remotely and play a critical role in ensuring the stability, reliability, and scalability of systems and applications.
The SRE will collaborate closely with development teams to build and maintain resilient systems, automate operational tasks, and implement robust monitoring and alerting solutions.
The primary goal of this position is to minimize downtime, optimize performance, and drive improvements in system efficiency.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing monitoring and alerting systems, automating operational tasks, analyzing system performance, and maintaining security and disaster recovery plans.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 3+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps, or similar role.
Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, including container orchestration (ECS is used).
Proficiency in Ruby on Rails or Python and RESTful API development is required.
Experience with real-time systems, location-based services, and/or telephony apps (e.g., Twilio) is a plus.
A strong preference for candidates who have a healthy hatred of all things Windows.
Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (Redis) is necessary.
Familiarity with system scalability, performance management, and agile methodologies is expected.
Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD tools, and project management software (Jira, Bitbucket) is required.
Benefits:
The salary for this position ranges from $135,000 to $185,000 a year.
