Description:

  • Brandwatch is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join their dynamic team remotely in Hungary.
  • The SRE will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of systems.
  • Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance system reliability, implementing and maintaining automation processes, driving security initiatives, monitoring and analyzing system performance, contributing to the development and maintenance of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts, and participating in on-call rotation and incident response activities.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as an SRE, DevOps, or Software Engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes at scale and containerization technologies is required.
  • Candidates should possess strong programming ability in an object-oriented programming (OOP) language and proficiency in script writing.
  • Expertise in a cloud environment, particularly AWS and/or GCP, is essential.
  • Candidates must have expert and up-to-date knowledge of security best practices.
  • Familiarity with SRE principles, including SLI, SLO, SLA, Toil, Uptime, and Observability, is necessary.
  • A solid understanding of networking fundamentals is required.
  • Commitment to standardization and documentation is expected.
  • Experience with Linux is necessary.
  • Proficiency in software delivery automation, CI/CD, and SDLC is required.
  • Experience with metrics, monitoring, and alerting using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar is essential.
  • Familiarity with IaC tools, including Ansible and Terraform, is required.
  • Experience with Elasticsearch, Kafka, MySQL, Postgres, Windows, and Redis is preferred.
