Remote Site Reliability Engineer -Federal

Description:

• Ditto is seeking a passionate Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to help automate and operate deployments.
• The role involves building and designing Ditto’s cloud-to-edge infrastructure with a focus on reliability and performance.
• Responsibilities include building tools and services for automated infrastructure management and self-healing, supporting end-to-end monitoring and maintenance of Federal deployments, and participating in on-call rotations to ensure customer workloads are running incident-free.
• The position is part of the Ditto Federal team, which focuses on delivering cutting-edge solutions to the federal government, particularly the Department of Defense.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have at least 3+ years of experience in an SRE-like role.
• The ability to work on a 100% distributed team, collaborating on GitHub/GitLab and Slack is essential.
• Strong experience with public and government cloud and edge providers is required.
• Experience running highly-scalable production workloads reliably on Kubernetes is necessary.
• Candidates should have experience with monitoring at scale and managing infrastructure predictably through GitOps and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
• Solid programming and scripting skills are required.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation is necessary.
• Excellent written communication skills are a must.
• A BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
• U.S. Citizenship and the ability to acquire and maintain an active security clearance are mandatory.
