Description:

  • Zscaler is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join the Site Reliability Engineering team in San Jose, California.
  • The role involves collaborating with Software Engineering and Infrastructure teams to design, implement, and deploy monitoring solutions.
  • Responsibilities include managing patch deployments, upgrades, and administrative tools, monitoring applications & services, participating in on-call rotations, and troubleshooting issues.
  • The position requires resolving problems, communicating solutions, and developing strategies to prevent future incidents.
  • U.S. citizenship is mandatory for this role due to the nature of the assigned customers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in 24/7 NOC operations, production cloud platforms, and automation workflows.
  • Proficiency in Linux/UNIX and related applications.
  • Familiarity with a programming language (e.g., Python, Go) and scripting languages (e.g., Bash).
  • High-level understanding of networking protocols and components like HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, ICMP, OSI Model, Subnetting, and Load Balancing.
