Description:
Zscaler is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join the Site Reliability Engineering team in San Jose, California.
The role involves collaborating with Software Engineering and Infrastructure teams to design, implement, and deploy monitoring solutions.
Responsibilities include managing patch deployments, upgrades, and administrative tools, monitoring applications & services, participating in on-call rotations, and troubleshooting issues.
The position requires resolving problems, communicating solutions, and developing strategies to prevent future incidents.
U.S. citizenship is mandatory for this role due to the nature of the assigned customers.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in 24/7 NOC operations, production cloud platforms, and automation workflows.
Proficiency in Linux/UNIX and related applications.
Familiarity with a programming language (e.g., Python, Go) and scripting languages (e.g., Bash).
High-level understanding of networking protocols and components like HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, ICMP, OSI Model, Subnetting, and Load Balancing.
