Description:
Leadtech is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to manage and optimize cloud infrastructure.
The role involves automating key processes and ensuring the stability, security, and performance of systems.
Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure using Terraform and GCP services.
The engineer will develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and automate deployment, testing, and operational workflows using scripting languages.
Management of services within Google Cloud such as Cloud Run, Firebase, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Cloud IAM, Kubernetes (GKE), and BigQuery is required.
The position also involves overseeing security practices, administering UNIX/Linux systems, troubleshooting system issues, and collaborating with development and data teams to improve platform reliability.
Maintenance of tools like SonarQube, Dependency Track, and Nexus is part of the job.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a minimum of 3–4 years of experience as an SRE, SysAdmin, or DevOps Engineer in cloud environments.
Strong expertise in GCP services including Cloud Run, Compute Engine, IAM, Firestore, BigQuery, and GKE is required.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform is necessary.
Advanced skills in Jenkins for CI/CD processes are essential.
Candidates should have scripting experience in Shell and Groovy, with Python or PowerShell being a plus.
A strong knowledge of Linux/Unix or BSD systems is required.
Familiarity with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, VPCs, route tables, DNS, and firewall rules is necessary.
Experience with security practices involving SSL/TLS, IAM, and KMS is required.
Familiarity with databases like Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL), BigQuery, and Firestore is needed.
Knowledge of tools like SonarQube, Dependency Track, and optionally Nexus is preferred.
Nice-to-have skills include experience with packaging tools, high-traffic web environments, orchestration tools, and monitoring tools.
