Description:

  • The Site Reliability Engineer I position is a remote role within Granicus, a company focused on transforming the Govtech industry.
  • The role involves using Granicus applications to understand their impact on government and citizen interaction.
  • Responsibilities include owning escalated issues reported by customers and internal teams, as well as independent and collaborative troubleshooting of application, service, and system issues.
  • The engineer will document and escalate user stories, bugs, and defects, and establish and maintain SLI, SLO, and SLA targets for applications and services.
  • The position requires the use of software development best practices to automate solutions and eliminate toil.
  • The engineer is responsible for preserving the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Granicus information assets and following the company's information security program.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should understand and value the customer experience and how to support people.
  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 4+ years of experience in SaaS environments is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in AWS/Azure or relevant certification is necessary.
  • Candidates must have 2+ years of experience supporting Windows and Linux servers.
  • Hands-on experience writing and troubleshooting Python is required.
  • Understanding of relational databases (SQL) and the ability to efficiently connect to databases and query data is necessary.
  • Direct experience using monitoring tools such as New Relic or Elastic is required.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems such as JIRA and Agile SDLC is necessary.
  • Experience using CI/CD tools like Gitlab or Jenkins is required.
  • Candidates must be willing and able to obtain/maintain a Secret-level security clearance through the U.S. Government, which requires U.S. citizenship, 10 years of U.S. residency status, and passing an in-depth government-sponsored background check.
