Remote Site Reliability Engineer - III

Description:

• LivePerson is seeking a Site Reliability/DevOps Engineer III for the GPT Division, focusing on building and managing highly available, distributed systems.
• The role involves leading a team to ensure product high uptime and reliability 24x7.
• The engineer will provide technical leadership and support to various stakeholders, including development teams, data teams, and leadership.
• Daily operations will include hands-on work with cloud environments, Kubernetes platforms, data and messaging platforms, and security/compliance.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a minimum of 8+ years of experience managing cloud-based production environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, along with proficiency in collaborating with various stakeholders.
• Solid hands-on experience and understanding of system architecture is necessary.
• Candidates should have extensive experience working in a Linux environment and good scripting skills in Bash/Python.
• Experience with configuration management systems like Puppet, OpsCode Chef, and Ansible is essential.
• Strong experience in Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation is required.
• Candidates must have strong experience in SQL (including DDL and complex queries) and managing SQL and NoSQL database systems, including MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Postgres, and MySQL.
• Experience working with the Kubernetes platform and Helm is necessary.
• Candidates should have strong experience in microservices architecture using message buses like Kafka and Pulsar.
• Experience in monitoring resources and alerting systems such as Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, DataDog, and PagerDuty is required.
• Good knowledge of CI/CD pipeline orchestrators like TeamCity, Jenkins, and Gitlab is necessary.
• Candidates should be highly motivated, independent, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
• A BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience, is required.
• A strong background in cloud, network, and application security and compliance is essential.
• Experience with GPT or other LLMs is considered a strong advantage.
