Remote Site Reliability Engineer - Laravel/PHP (AU FinTech, Home-based)

Description:

• Provide operational support and engineering solutions for client's systems and applications.
• Liaise with external partners, stakeholders, and development teams for support queries.
• Gather and analyze metrics to enhance performance tuning and fault finding.
• Manage incident response, conduct root cause analysis, and produce reports for major incidents.
• Participate in system design, platform management, and planning.
• Build and maintain sustainable systems and services through automation.
• Create and update technical documentation and maintain a knowledge base.
• Build and operate monitoring for security, availability, reliability, and performance.
• Analyze current technology and develop processes for improvement and expansion.

Requirements:

• At least 4 years of experience as an Application Support Engineer or experience with Web Application Frameworks (Laravel).
• Experience in debugging code in Laravel and working with MySQL/MariaDB.
• Exposure to any application monitoring tool such as NewRelic and Datadog.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and deployment via CI/CD Pipelines.
• Nice to Have:
  • AWS Experience (specifically EC2, Redis, RDS, S3, SQS, Cloudwatch).
  • Previous experience in working in an Agile Environment is beneficial.
  • Collaborative and innovative, with a CI/CD approach to improving current systems & processes.
  • AWS Developer, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer certification.
