Description:

The Catalyst Tribe is an innovation platform for the Cardano blockchain ecosystem, enabling decentralized communities to propose, evaluate, and fund projects.
The Site Reliability Engineer Lead will work closely with geographically diverse experts and the Research & Development teams to ensure high-quality, stable environments for customers.
Responsibilities include working on build and deployment cycles across all development environments, supporting multi-tier applications, and improving tooling and scripts for automation.
The role involves developing tools for monitoring and maintaining production systems, collaborating with agile teams, and building capabilities for self-sufficiency in development teams.
As a leader, the individual will motivate and develop team members, communicate openly, and empower the team to achieve the best results.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in SRE, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure roles is necessary.
At least 2 years in a technical leadership or senior engineering capacity is required.
A proven track record of building and operating highly available, distributed, fault-tolerant systems is essential.
Strong foundation in Linux system internals, networking, and systems programming is required.
Demonstrated experience in open-source contribution is highly desirable.
Experience leading incident responses and driving reliability improvements is necessary.
Familiarity with Agile, Kanban, or similar development methodologies is required.
Strong scripting and programming skills in Bash, Python, Go, or Rust are preferred.
Extensive experience with Git and CI/CD systems is necessary.
Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is required.
Deep experience with Docker and Kubernetes, as well as Infrastructure as Code tools, is essential.
Knowledge of monitoring, logging, observability tools, and security best practices is required.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for collaboration across distributed teams.
