Description:

  • We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join our Mailjet Site Reliability Engineering team in a fully remote role based in France.
  • You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our global infrastructure, which includes monitoring and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • The role involves collaborating with engineers to ensure our products and services are appropriately resourced.
  • You will automate processes and plan for future growth and scalability.
  • Your responsibilities will include partnering with product engineering teams to identify systems requirements, building and supporting our cloud-based infrastructure, and automating routine processes and remediation tasks.
  • You will develop, monitor, and track Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for the systems under management.
  • Proactively troubleshooting, resolving, and planning for issues that arise from support staff, other engineering teams, and our automated monitoring system will be part of your duties.
  • Ensuring our datastores are healthy and operate at optimal performance levels is essential.
  • You will also contribute to the growth and culture of our engineering team.

Requirements:

  • A background in infrastructure, operations, or software engineering is required.
  • Experience with cloud providers such as GCP is necessary.
  • Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Terraform and Ansible is expected.
  • Hands-on proficiency with modern monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana is required.
  • Experience with distributed data stores such as Cassandra, PostgreSQL, and ElasticSearch is necessary.
  • Familiarity with Python and Bash is beneficial.
  • Strong technical skills across various infrastructure technologies are essential.
  • Strong communication skills are required.
  • Experience operating and maintaining production systems in a Linux and public cloud environment is necessary.
  • Applicants must hold French citizenship, EU/EEA citizenship, or have a valid work permit for working in France.
