Description:
As a Site Reliability Engineer at Escape Velocity, you will play a crucial role in enabling teams to enhance interactive entertainment experiences.
Responsibilities include analyzing, implementing, and improving complex systems for delivering games to millions of users, ensuring delivery, scalability, and reliability of cloud-hosted game titles, advising on best practices, taking ownership of projects, resolving operational concerns, optimizing reliability, availability, observability, and cost, and participating in an on-call rotation for critical incidents.
The position involves collaborating with product teams, maintaining relationships with internal and external partners, and contributing to turning ideas into player experiences.

Requirements:
5+ years of experience in Site Reliability, DevOps, or Platform engineering.
Ability to analyze project outcomes, derive requirements, and take ideas from concept to completion.
Proficiency in high-level languages like Java, C#, Kotlin, or C++.
Strong Linux skills and understanding of AWS core services.
Experience with backend game engines such as Pragma, GameLift, or similar.
Proficient in implementing and maintaining CI/CD systems.
Familiarity with observability, application monitoring, and telemetry collection.
