Description:

  • The Site Reliability Engineer will join the Infrastructure team at PostHog to scale the cloud platform.
  • Responsibilities include maintaining the AWS/Kubernetes-based infrastructure, ensuring scalability, and addressing security and compliance issues.
  • The role involves collaborating with Product and Pipeline teams to provide guidance and develop solutions for essential infrastructure and monitoring tools.
  • Example tasks include securing internal services, enabling gradual service rollouts, migrating to Kafka S3 tiered storage, and configuring deployments for individual service changes.

Requirements:

  • Must have experience managing large-scale cloud infrastructures, particularly AWS.
  • Proficiency with various database technologies like Postgres, Kafka, Redis, Clickhouse, S3, etc.
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes and associated tools such as Helm.
  • Ability to work with other engineering teams to enhance infrastructure capabilities.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform.
