Remote Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Description:

• Valstro, a FinTech partnership, is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of their cloud native trading platform.
• The role involves building and maintaining infrastructure, automating processes, and collaborating with Development and Platform teams for seamless integration and deployment.
• Responsibilities include serving as a link between the organization, executive leadership, and external vendors, ensuring system reliability, developing monitoring solutions, automating operational tasks, responding to incidents, and continuously improving systems and processes.
• The role also requires participation in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in site reliability engineering, systems engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in cloud-based infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana observability stack.
• Expertise in automation and scripting using Golang, Python, Bash, Terraform.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration with Docker, Kubernetes.
• Effective communication skills to liaise between stakeholders, internal teams, executive management, and external vendors.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in establishing and enhancing reliability engineering practices and processes.
• Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic organizational environment with high delivery and quality expectations.
