Description:

• N1 is seeking a Smart Contract Engineer to join their software engineering team.
• The role involves spearheading the development of core backend components for the blockchain network, focusing on smart contracts that interface with other blockchain networks like Solana.
• Responsibilities include designing and coding core backend software components primarily in Rust.
• The engineer will ensure the creation, testing, debugging, and deployment of production-grade components.
• The position requires maintaining and enhancing high-quality software engineering practices.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
• Candidates must have experience in designing, testing, and implementing robust and secure smart contract programs on Solana; experience with other blockchains like Ethereum is a plus.
• A strong understanding of smart contract security and the risks associated with blockchain systems is essential.
• Experience in writing correct and reliable software is necessary, including having worked on and deployed software changes used by people.
• The ideal candidate should be a creative, independent, and collaborative team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Active participation in Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Solana projects or the open-source community is highly desirable.

Benefits:

• The base salary range for this full-time position is between $120k and $240k, depending on experience and location.
• The salary range reflects the minimum and typical maximum target for new hire salaries for candidates based in New York at any level.
