Description:

Doowii is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join their team, focusing on backend data engineering, automation, data pipeline management, system integrations, and ETL processes.
The role involves leading complex engineering projects to completion, facilitating technical discussions, and supporting the engineering team.
The engineer will utilize the latest data science, AI, and engineering technologies, making decisions on product architecture and design to align with business objectives.
Responsibilities include designing and building a reliable and scalable data pipeline solution, ensuring database performance, reliability, and scalability.
The engineer will facilitate the integration of various data sources, evaluate and test source data integrations for compatibility, security, and performance.
Troubleshooting and resolving product issues, documenting product requirements, architecture, and design are also key responsibilities.
The role requires ensuring security and data protection settings are correctly designed, implemented, and configured.
The engineer will identify opportunities for product and feature performance improvements.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is required.
A minimum of 5 years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as Python, Java, and SQL is necessary.
At least 3 years of experience using cloud-scale services and server/service management features is required.
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work independently on technical projects and navigate ambiguity effectively.
Confidence in driving projects to completion in a fast-paced environment is essential.
The candidate should be self-motivated, results-oriented, and possess a strong entrepreneurial spirit with autonomy in decision-making.
Additional preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, experience in Education Technology, prior startup experience, expertise in developing data analytics software, and familiarity with LLMs, Vector DBs, and transformer models.
A proven track record of leading engineering teams and managing 3rd-party integrations is also desirable.
