Description:
The Software Architect position at 360Learning is a full-time role that can be performed remotely or in Paris.
The role involves working within a team of 12 product squads and 5 tech squads, focusing on hands-on problem-solving and coaching engineers on code organization and technical debt.
Responsibilities include leading tech roadmaps, experimenting with new technologies, and ensuring the architecture remains a reference in the SaaS industry.
The position offers the opportunity to work with complex challenges, including managing significant traffic and data volume while maintaining a focus on clean architecture.
The architect will align R&D on strategic subjects, increase team skills through good practices, and contribute to the international expansion of the product.
Within the first month, the new hire will discover 360Learning, its platform, teams, and culture, and become familiar with the R&D processes.
By three months, the architect will master the tech stack (NodeJS, VueJS, MongoDB) and complete their first complex project.
Within 6 to 12 months, the architect will make strategic architectural choices, lead technology evolution, and onboard new team architects.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 8 years of experience, preferably in a Product-Led Growth company.
A hands-on approach is essential, with experience in working on complex codebases and a strong emphasis on software quality.
The candidate should be able to work on transversal technical subjects and evangelize best practices within the R&D team.
Familiarity with software architecture characteristics and patterns is required, with cloud expertise (e.g., Azure) being a plus.
The ability to mentor and develop team skills in best practices, software design, and new stacks is necessary.
Proficiency in algorithms is required.
Candidates must be fluent in English (US/UK) at a B2 level or equivalent, with a strong enthusiasm for the working environment described.
