Description:

  • The Software Architect position at 360Learning is a hands-on role focused on solving problems related to code organization, technical debt, and the implementation of significant features.
  • The architect will lead tech roadmaps concerning performance scalability and security, experiment with new technologies, create proofs of concept, and ensure the architecture remains a reference in the SaaS industry.
  • The role involves working with complex challenges, including managing significant traffic and data, while maintaining a strong focus on clean architecture for long-term growth.
  • The architect will align R&D on strategic subjects such as architecture, stack, organization, roadmap, and objectives, while increasing team skills through good practices, workshops, and documentation.
  • The position is within a high-level team of around eighty engineers known for their ability to analyze and model complex codebases.
  • Within the first month, the architect will discover 360Learning, its platform, teams, and culture, and become familiar with the R&D way of working.
  • Within three months, the architect will master the tech stack (NodeJS, VueJS, MongoDB), complete a complex project, and establish good development practices.
  • Within six to twelve months, the architect will make strategic architectural choices, lead the evolution of architecture and technologies, train the R&D team, and onboard new team architects.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have at least 8 years of experience, preferably in a Product-Led Growth company.
  • The ideal candidate should be hands-on and experienced in working with complex codebases, emphasizing software quality.
  • The architect must be able to work on transversal technical subjects that impact the R&D team and be capable of evangelizing these subjects.
  • Familiarity with software architecture characteristics and patterns is required, with cloud expertise (e.g., Azure) being a plus.
  • The candidate should have the ability to mentor and develop team skills in best practices, development, software design, and new stacks.
  • Proficiency in algorithms is necessary.
  • Fluency in English (US/UK) at a B2 level or equivalent (FR) is required.
