Description:

  • The Software Architect will guide a team of over 70 engineers, focusing on software architecture excellence and team mentoring.
  • Responsibilities include defining best practice guidelines for architecture documentation and ensuring their implementation within the development organization.
  • The role involves supporting developers in making sound architecture decisions through coaching and governance principles.
  • The architect's work will enhance the scalability, stability, and maintainability of the platform, while also contributing to the happiness and personal development of the engineering team.
  • The position is part of the Platform Engineering Tribe, collaborating closely with the Director of Platform Engineering on global reference architecture.
  • The architect will define the technical and architecture vision, ensuring company-wide technology transformations and adherence to best practices.
  • The role includes supporting senior developers in creating manageable architecture designs and evaluating the skills of senior developers for training and recruitment purposes.
  • Success will be measured by the team's understanding of architecture analysis, autonomous decision-making, comprehensive documentation, and a positive work atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in developing complex software solutions and delivering high-quality software systems, preferably SaaS services.
  • Demonstrated architecture design and documentation experience.
  • A successful track record of re-architecting existing systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of modern programming languages such as C#, Python, and Java.
  • Deep experience with REST APIs and documentation of REST endpoints.
  • Experience with Cloud Native development and microservices architectures.
  • DevOps experience, including CI/CD, automated pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, containerization, and Kubernetes.
  • Ability to drive change and influence without authority.
  • Excellent presentation and data visualization skills, comfortable reporting to senior leadership and development teams.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Preferred qualifications include knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure and GCP, experience with the OKR framework, and AI-enabled development experience.
