Description:
TrustArc is seeking a Software Automation Engineer to work closely with product and engineering teams to develop and execute test plans and test cases across all functional areas of their products.
The role involves partnering with technical and business drivers to deliver quality products, testing code manually and with automated tools using black box and white box testing techniques.
Responsibilities include investigating and reproducing bugs, driving fixes through test and production stages, understanding software internals, debugging problems, and writing automated tests in Java using existing automated tools.
The engineer will interpret and report testing results and advocate for quality in every phase of the development process.
Requirements:
Candidates must be self-starters with tremendous initiative, critical thinking, and a strong work ethic.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with other functional teams are essential.
Attention to detail in a high-paced environment and the ability to embrace change are required.
A desire to be a high-impact player at a product-driven company is necessary.
A BS in computer science or a related field, or significant equivalent experience is required.
A minimum of 3 years of experience testing web-based or SaaS applications is needed.
Solid development skills in Java programming language and experience with automated tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, and Sikuli API are required.
Strong understanding of REST and demonstrated automation experience with REST APIs testing using tools like RestAssured and HttpClient is necessary.
Experience in testing micro-services in isolation and building and maintaining automation frameworks in a CI/CD environment is required.
Candidates should have experience testing the full tech stack of products, including the front end, APIs, and backend.
Familiarity with BDD automation frameworks such as Cucumber and JBehave, as well as knowledge of QA concepts, test frameworks, and automation tools is essential.
Experience with load and performance testing tools like Gatling and Jmeter, and cloud-hosted cross-browser testing platforms such as SauceLabs and BrowserStack is required.
Experience with Continuous Build and Delivery processes and Agile development methodologies is necessary.
