Description:

We are building an intelligent health and fitness platform that acts as a personal AI coach, helping users set, track, and stay accountable to their wellness goals.
This position offers the opportunity to lead the tech from scratch and build a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) that integrates smart conversational AI, habit tracking, and personalized health guidance into one seamless experience.
As the founding developer, you will bring this vision to life through a thoughtful and intuitive product that has a real-world impact.
Key responsibilities include building a scalable, privacy-first MVP web app with both frontend and backend components.
You will design and implement core features such as an onboarding flow to capture user health metrics, a conversational AI interface for real-time interaction, smart food logging, an adaptive check-in system, an AI-based insight engine, gamified progress tracking, and integration of data from health trackers.
Collaboration with founders to iterate based on early user feedback and shipping a working MVP with clear documentation is also part of the role.

Requirements:

Frontend experience using React.js or Next.js, with Tailwind CSS for styling is required.
Backend development experience with Node.js and Express.js or Firebase (Firestore preferred) is necessary.
Proficiency in integrating OpenAI for conversational interfaces, intelligent suggestions, and adaptive coaching logic is essential.
Familiarity with voice and text input technologies like Web Speech API or Whisper API is required.
The ability to handle OCR/image data extraction from screenshots such as Fitbit or Woop dashboards is necessary.
Experience deploying full-stack applications using Vercel, Netlify, or Render is required.
Preferred qualities include experience building full-stack MVPs from scratch, familiarity with health, fitness, or wellness platforms, creative problem-solving skills with strong UI/UX sensibility, comfort in iterative, fast-paced environments, and a strong sense of product ownership and proactive decision-making.
