Description:

Moodle is seeking an experienced Software Developer to join the Platform Solutions Team, which focuses on building, refining, and improving the Moodle LMS platform.
This is a remote role that can be based anywhere in the Asia Pacific region.
The role involves developing and maintaining features for Moodle’s core LMS product using PHP, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, and CSS.
Responsibilities include writing automated and manual tests, participating in code reviews, and providing constructive feedback.
The developer will work closely with product managers and other developers to discover and implement major platform features.
The role also includes improving UI/UX elements and implementing design changes, as well as contributing to development projects in collaboration with global teams.

Requirements:

Strong PHP programming experience is required.
A strong understanding of modern web frameworks and design patterns is necessary.
Candidates must have a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Knowledge of performance, security, OOP, and reliability design is essential.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English, are required.
The ideal candidate should be a collaborative team player with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
The ability to self-manage, prioritize effectively, and deliver to tight deadlines is crucial.
