Description:
Humanitru is an integrations-first software platform for nonprofits that centralizes data and streamlines operations.
The company connects with leading platforms like Mailchimp, QuickBooks Online, and DonorSearch to replace legacy CRMs and eliminate data silos.
The software developer will expand engineering capacity and work with the engineering team to architect and implement product improvements, bug fixes, and performance optimizations.
The core technology stack includes Ruby on Rails on MySQL, with jQuery and Bootstrap for the front-end.
The deployment is on DigitalOcean/AWS using Phusion Passenger and NGINX.
Responsibilities include architecting and implementing product features, optimizing platform infrastructure, cleaning and migrating customer data, addressing bug reports, and problem-solving tech roadblocks.
The developer will contribute to the 2025 Product Roadmap and maintain 90% test coverage of developed features.
Requirements:
Proficiency in Ruby is highly preferred, or experience with other high-level languages such as Python or JavaScript.
Experience with application server frameworks, particularly Ruby on Rails, is highly preferred.
Familiarity with front-end frameworks like jQuery and Bootstrap is required.
Experience in data munging and cleaning, including writing migration scripts into databases, is necessary.
A working knowledge of database architecture, specifically MySQL and general SQL optimization, is required.
Some experience with DevOps tools such as Capistrano, Phusion Passenger, and NGINX is preferred.
