Description:

  • NextGen Federal Systems is seeking an experienced Software Developer to remotely support a federal customer located in Clarksburg, WV.
  • The role involves contributing to a multi-year initiative aimed at improving the efficiency and security of large-scale IT systems for federal customers.
  • The position requires at least a Secret Security Clearance, and the primary work location is remote.
  • Responsibilities include developing, creating, and modifying general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.
  • The developer will analyze user needs and develop software solutions, design or customize software for client use, and analyze and design databases within an application area.
  • Additional tasks include researching, designing, developing, and testing operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for various applications.
  • The role also involves setting operational specifications, formulating and analyzing software requirements, and designing embedded systems software.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is required, along with a minimum of 5 years of work experience.
  • Candidates must possess an active Tier 3 Secret clearance.
  • Proficiency in Java (OOP) Full Stack Development is essential, with strong programming skills in Java.
  • Required skills include proficiency with Java Object-Oriented Programming, experience with Kubernetes and containers, and familiarity with automating the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
  • Experience with Cloud-native architectures and event-driven architectures, particularly streaming, is preferred.
