Description:

NextGen Federal Systems is seeking an experienced Software Developer to remotely support a federal customer located in Clarksburg, WV.
The role involves contributing to a multi-year initiative aimed at improving the efficiency and security of large-scale IT systems for federal customers.
The position requires at least a Secret Security Clearance, and the primary work location is remote.
Responsibilities include developing, creating, and modifying general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.
The developer will analyze user needs and develop software solutions, design or customize software for client use, and analyze and design databases within an application area.
Additional tasks include researching, designing, developing, and testing operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for various applications.
The role also involves setting operational specifications, formulating and analyzing software requirements, and designing embedded systems software.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s Degree is required, along with a minimum of 5 years of work experience.
Candidates must possess an active Tier 3 Secret clearance.
Proficiency in Java (OOP) Full Stack Development is essential, with strong programming skills in Java.
Required skills include proficiency with Java Object-Oriented Programming, experience with Kubernetes and containers, and familiarity with automating the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
Experience with Cloud-native architectures and event-driven architectures, particularly streaming, is preferred.
