Remote Software Developer – Front End

Description:

• The Software Developer on the UI team will primarily utilize React to design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable web applications.
• This role involves multi-tasking technical design, code construction, technical team growth, bug resolution, and environment support.
• The developer will craft new web applications and maintain existing ones that interact with APIs and work with complex datasets.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with clients and internal teams to understand user needs and designing software to meet those needs.
• The developer will build dynamic and responsive web applications using React and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• They will translate UI/UX designs into high-quality code and ensure a seamless user experience across various devices and browsers.
• Collaboration with UX/UI designers, product managers, and other developers is essential to gather requirements and deliver feature enhancements.
• The developer will work with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure data-driven UI components function effectively.
• Participation in agile development processes, including sprint planning, code reviews, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, is required.
• The role includes modifying existing software to correct errors or improve performance and writing unit tests to maintain code quality.
• The developer will research, follow, and communicate best practices to team members and gather user feedback to improve software usability.
• They will determine required system performance standards and hardware configurations based on client specifications and other parameters.
• Documentation of development processes, architectural decisions, and changes is necessary for maintainability and collaboration.
• Supervisory responsibilities include collaboration, mentoring team members, enabling opportunities for individual technical growth, and strengthening the team.
• The position requires the ability to work 2nd-shift (3 PM to 12 midnight), Mondays to Fridays.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills are essential.
• The developer will perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is required.
• At least five years of experience as a software developer or engineer is required.
• A minimum of five years of experience with Next JS, TypeScript, and JavaScript, particularly with web app frameworks React and/or Angular, is necessary.
• Experience with MUI Grids is required.
• Familiarity with code branching strategies is necessary.
• Experience with Azure cloud services and platform is preferred.
• Experience working with SQL and writing queries for relational databases is required.
• Experience with Salesforce is preferred.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar systems is necessary.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines are required.
• Extensive knowledge of coding languages and systems is necessary.
• The ability to learn new coding languages and technologies is essential.
• Participation in Agile sprinting and ceremonies is required.
