Axonify is a Canadian company headquartered in Ontario, focused on a frontline enablement solution that maximizes workforce potential.
The Software Developer will be part of the backend team, collaborating with Canadian developers to create quality code for millions of users.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting the code written.
The developer will work on the backend for new features and services that comprise the Axonify solution.
The role involves solving scalability problems in a cloud-based, multi-tenant system architecture.
Performance analysis and optimization on high-volume data services are key tasks.
The developer will collaborate with product management to shape new products and features.
Participation in code and architecture reviews is expected.
Additional duties will support Axonify and help build personal skills.

Requirements:

Solid professional experience in Java development, including concurrency and performance, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
Experience with cloud computing environments and technologies such as relational databases, NoSQL databases, search engines, web and application server engines, and containers is required.
Familiarity with performance and/or unit testing is necessary.
A quality mindset with a drive for the highest quality and a detail-oriented approach is essential.
The candidate should be a highly enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude.
A desire to work in a fast-paced, evolving, dynamic environment is important.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to operate autonomously and proactively seek solutions.
Comfortable working and communicating in English with Canadian teams is necessary, though complete fluency is not expected.
