Description:

We are looking for a talented Software Developer to join our team and contribute to projects that support the United States Geological Survey (USGS) and the National Map elevation data program.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of geographic information systems while working with a dedicated, Agile team to process and manage geospatial data, particularly land elevation information.
You will leverage your skills in Python and Django to develop solutions that improve how geospatial data is handled.
Responsibilities include building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Docker, GitLab, and Jenkins to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.
A solid understanding of Linux operating systems is essential, and experience with Kubernetes will be important for managing containerized applications.
You should have a strong foundation in software development and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Experience with geospatial data, multithreading, or Linux systems administration is a plus, though not required.
