Description:

Synthesis Health is seeking Software Developers (Node.js) to design and develop the backend infrastructure of their technology products.
The role involves working on a software development team to develop and implement web application software, test and debug applications, and manage servers and databases.
Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure back-end systems and APIs for technology products.
Developers will use PubSub and other messaging technologies for service calls and participate in code and design reviews as well as Scrum ceremonies.
The position requires identifying and suggesting additional technical improvements and developing automated testing and deployment pipelines using junit, gherkin, and cucumber.
Developers will utilize data storage solutions such as PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, and cloud storage systems.
The role also involves optimizing the platform for performance and scalability, troubleshooting and debugging issues, and compiling and analyzing data to identify areas for improvement.
Security measures and compliance with healthcare regulations and standards are essential responsibilities.
Collaboration with product owners, QA teams, DevOps, and front-end developers is necessary for defining requirements and integrating user-facing elements.
Continuous education and staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends are expected.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
A minimum of three years of experience in software development is necessary.
Proficiency in Node.js, Typescript, or Next.js frameworks is essential.
Experience in developing microservices and familiarity with Google Cloud platforms is required.
A strong understanding of database management systems (both SQL and NoSQL) is necessary.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture is required.
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes is essential.
Understanding of healthcare data standards and regulations (e.g., DICOM, HL7, HIPAA) is preferred.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 – $115,000 CAD, commensurate with experience.
