Remote Software Development Engineer II

Description:

• Subsplash is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join the Giving and Payments Team.
• The role involves collaborating with Designers, Product Managers, Scrum Masters, and other Engineers to build user-friendly systems.
• Responsibilities include participating in code reviews, documenting work, and building robust micro-services.
• The position requires prioritizing secure, scalable code and demonstrating ownership in delivering new features.
• After approximately 6 months, participation in the on-call rotation to ensure service uptime is expected.
• The role is fully remote, requiring self-discipline, workload management, and effective communication via tools like Slack and Google Meet.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of full-time programming experience in a group/team environment.
• Significant experience with server-side web technologies like Golang, Unix/Linux, PHP, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.
• Experience in protecting against security risks described by OWASP.
• Familiarity with Agile and feature-driven development processes.
• Highly independent with the ability to prioritize multiple projects, tasks, and bug fixes.

• The total compensation for this role (base salary + bonuses) ranges between $110,000 - $160,000 per year.
• The position is 100% remote for residents of specific states in the US.
