The role of Software Development Engineer II (SDE2) is within the Calendar Integrations team, focusing on reducing technical debt while ensuring system stability and scalability.
Responsibilities include leading efforts to reduce technical debt, designing and optimizing APIs, developing performance monitoring strategies, driving database optimization, collaborating across teams, mentoring developers, analyzing legacy systems, and applying a data-driven approach to technical decisions.
Requirements:
Candidates must have expertise in backend design and architecture.
A strong knowledge of API design patterns is required.
Proven experience with database optimization techniques is essential.
An in-depth understanding of security best practices in software development is necessary.
Proficiency in performance optimization for distributed systems is expected.
Demonstrated expertise in designing and optimizing APIs is required.
