Description:
Mapbox is the leading real-time location platform for location-aware businesses, providing tools for navigation of people, packages, and vehicles.
The Maps Rendering team focuses on pushing the boundaries of interactive maps and location technologies.
As a Software Development Engineer II, you will work on mapbox-gl-js, the leading vector map rendering engine.
You will utilize cutting-edge browser technologies and a modern codebase, including WebGL, Web Workers, ECMAScript with modules, and WebAssembly.
The role involves tackling advanced graphics programming, algorithmic, and architectural problems.
You will enhance the performance, stability, and simplicity of Mapbox products.
Collaboration with Native/Mobile rendering teams is essential to ensure cross-platform map compatibility.
Requirements:
Curiosity and enthusiasm for solving challenging technical problems in geo and data visualization using emerging technologies are essential.
