Remote Software Development Engineer II (Immediate Joiner)

Description:

• LivePerson is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join their core engineering team, focusing on building the LivePerson Voice offering and integrating it with existing solutions.
• The role involves exposure to new technologies and architectures, collaborating with Principal engineers and architects to design and execute new solutions.
• Responsibilities include learning about LivePerson’s Voice AI solution, working with contact center integrations, and developing reliable, scalable software solutions in a public cloud environment.
• The engineer will develop Java-based backend services and, if full stack, will also develop UI using frameworks like Vue or Angular.
• The position emphasizes customer-centric software development and achieving operational goals.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 6+ years of software development experience.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience with programming languages, specifically Java, is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in developing Microservices, RESTful APIs, and backend systems is necessary.
• Strong Object Oriented design and implementation experience, along with knowledge of web protocols and distributed systems architectures, is essential.
• A solid understanding of Data Structures and Algorithm Design is required.
• Experience with technologies such as Kafka, Elasticsearch, or Redis is needed.
• Proficiency in database technologies like MySQL, Postgres, or Firestore is required.
• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, and other development tools is necessary.
• Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience advocating for and executing automated testing strategies is required.
• Experience with large scale deployments and performance tuning is necessary.
• Candidates should have experience developing cloud software services with an understanding of design for scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Development experience with Unix, Docker, and Kubernetes on GCP/GKE is a plus.
• Good to have 2+ years of experience in building UI using web frameworks like Vue or Angular.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
