Remote Software Development Engineer II (Java)

Description:

• As a Software Development Engineer II at LivePerson, you will be part of a core engineering team responsible for building the LivePerson Voice offering and integrating it with existing LivePerson and contact center solutions.
• You will have the opportunity to work with new technologies and architectures, collaborate with Principal engineers and architects, and contribute to the design and execution of new solutions.
• Responsibilities include learning LivePerson's Voice AI solution, integrating with contact center providers, developing new products, and working on complex system software.
• You will develop Java-based backend services and, if full stack, work on UI development using Vue, Angular.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of software development experience.
• 4+ years of experience with Java programming language.
• 3+ years of experience in developing Microservices, RESTful APIs, backend systems, and production software systems.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented design, web protocols, and distributed systems architectures.
• Proficiency in Data Structures, Algorithm Design, and experience with technologies like Kafka, Elasticsearch, Redis.
• Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, Postgres, Firestore, and tools like Git, Jenkins.
• Ability to advocate for automated testing strategies, ensure code quality, and work on large-scale deployments and performance tuning.
• Experience in cloud software services development, scalability, performance, and reliability design.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
