Description:

  • The Software Development Engineer II (Python) position at LivePerson involves designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems.
  • The role includes working with generative AI and large language model functionality to develop cutting-edge features for the aiStudio platform.
  • Responsibilities also include designing, building, and deploying Python-based enterprise-level solutions, as well as producing high-quality, well-tested code that is easy to read and maintain.
  • The position involves designing REST-based APIs for backend services, writing unit, automated, and integration tests, and using the latest technologies to solve real problems for customers on a massive scale.
  • Continuous focus on production readiness, contributing to the team's on-call rotation, and utilizing monitoring tools and logging services to debug and analyze production issues are key aspects of the role.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in developing enterprise-level backend applications.
  • 4+ years of experience with Python at scale.
  • Experience with large language models, including LangChain, would be beneficial.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD, monitoring, observability, and production readiness.
  • Strong experience with complex systems designs with large-scale traffic.
  • Experience in enterprise systems integration.
  • Ability to effectively communicate designs via flowcharts, sequence diagrams, and similar.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic about the end customer experience.
  • Experience with globally distributed teams in multiple time zones.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, engineering, or equivalent.
