Description:
The Software Development Engineer II (Python) position at LivePerson involves designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems.
The role includes working with generative AI and large language model functionality to develop cutting-edge features for the aiStudio platform.
Responsibilities also include designing, building, and deploying Python-based enterprise-level solutions, as well as producing high-quality, well-tested code that is easy to read and maintain.
The position involves designing REST-based APIs for backend services, writing unit, automated, and integration tests, and using the latest technologies to solve real problems for customers on a massive scale.
Continuous focus on production readiness, contributing to the team's on-call rotation, and utilizing monitoring tools and logging services to debug and analyze production issues are key aspects of the role.
Requirements:
4+ years of experience in developing enterprise-level backend applications.
4+ years of experience with Python at scale.
Experience with large language models, including LangChain, would be beneficial.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD, monitoring, observability, and production readiness.
Strong experience with complex systems designs with large-scale traffic.
Experience in enterprise systems integration.
Ability to effectively communicate designs via flowcharts, sequence diagrams, and similar.
Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
Self-motivated and enthusiastic about the end customer experience.
Experience with globally distributed teams in multiple time zones.
Excellent communication skills in English.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, engineering, or equivalent.
