Remote Software Development Engineer II, Search Android SDK

Description:

• The Software Development Engineer II will be part of the Search Android SDK team at Mapbox, focusing on designing, developing, and refining Android product offerings.
• Responsibilities include supporting and extending the Mapbox Android Search SDK, working on an emerging product offering of delivery intelligence, and implementing mobile SDK features and experiences.
• The role involves participating in end-to-end feature implementation, evaluating the quality and reliability of user-facing search products, and collaborating with product owners, sales engineering, and management to drive future product direction.
• Additionally, mentoring other software engineers to develop their engineering skill sets is a key aspect of this role.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of industry experience is required for this position.
• Strong proficiency in Android Development is essential.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams are necessary.
• Experience in implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests is a must.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git is required.

Benefits:

• The annual base compensation for this role ranges from $151,000 - $225,000 for most US locations, with a 5% to 10% higher range for US locations with a higher cost of labor.
