Description:

• HighLevel is seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join the Membership Team, which works on a product with over 750K monthly active users.
• The role requires strong technical and communication skills, focusing on both backend (Node.js, Nest.js/Express.js) and frontend (Vue.js or similar frameworks) development.
• Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance web applications with responsive UIs.
• The engineer will build efficient backend services and APIs, ensuring reliability and performance in a distributed system.
• The role involves optimizing frontend performance, accessibility, and UX consistency using the design system.
• The engineer will develop real-time, event-driven architectures with messaging systems and improve database performance, caching, concurrency, and scaling strategies for high-traffic systems.
• Maintaining and enhancing CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and deployment strategies is also part of the job.
• Implementing security best practices for authentication, authorization, and data protection is essential.
• The engineer will automate quality checks, monitoring, and alerts to drive data-driven decision-making.
• A deep understanding of the product, customers, and competitors is necessary to improve user experience.
• Ensuring test coverage (unit, integration, end-to-end) for system stability and addressing technical debt while maintaining code quality is required.
• Collaboration with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver impactful features is expected.
• The engineer will mentor and guide team members, fostering technical growth.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in full-stack development with a focus on scale.
• Proficiency in Vue.js, Node.js, and Nest.js/Express.js is required.
• A strong understanding of databases (MySQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch) and caching strategies (Redis) is necessary.
• Experience handling high-scale traffic, distributed systems, and concurrency challenges is essential.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is required.
• Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Google Pub/Sub, etc.) for event-driven architecture is necessary.
• Proficiency in testing frameworks for frontend and backend (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Cypress) is required.
• Strong debugging, performance optimization, and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Candidates must be able to work autonomously and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
• Strong communication skills and a product-driven mindset to balance trade-offs efficiently are required.
