Description:

  • As a Software Development Engineer III, you will be part of a core engineering team at LivePerson working on building the LivePerson Voice offering and integrating it with existing LivePerson and contact center solutions.
  • You will have the opportunity to learn new technologies and architectures, including LivePerson's Voice AI solution, integrations with contact center providers, voice-based telephony, and new product development.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and leadership to contribute engineering expertise for ideating new features and functionality.
  • Develop reliable, scalable, high-performance software solutions deployed in a public cloud environment using the latest software, automations, and testing tools.
  • Work on complex system software, focusing on customer-centric solutions and operational goals achievement.
  • Develop Java-based backend services and if full stack, work on UI development using Vue, Angular.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of software development experience.
  • 6+ years of experience with Java programming language.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing Microservices, RESTful API, backend systems, and successful production software systems.
  • Strong Object-Oriented design and implementation experience, knowledge of web protocols, and distributed systems architectures.
  • Solid understanding of Data Structures and Algorithm Design.
  • Experience with technologies like Kafka, Elasticsearch, Redis, and databases such as MySQL, Postgres, Firestore.
  • Proficiency in Git, Jenkins, and other Development tools.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on automated testing strategies and code quality.
  • Experience in large-scale deployments, performance tuning, cloud software services development, and design for scalability, performance, and reliability.
  • Good to have experience with Unix, Docker, Kubernetes infrastructure on GCP/GKE, and building UI using web frameworks like Vue, Angular.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
