Remote Software Development Engineer in Test

Description:

• Motive is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test to design a mobile automation framework for the Motive Driver Android app and Motive Fleet App.
• The role involves developing an automation framework from scratch for Android and iOS apps, integrating automated tests with end-to-end testing processes, and adding test coverage for apps and API tests.
• The candidate will collaborate with the Development team, analyze test results for releases, and communicate with the QA team about new requirements.
• This position offers the opportunity to work with experienced technology professionals and contribute to creating high readability code.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience working on Android apps with a deep understanding of Android SDKs.
• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Android lifecycle, custom views, and database/persistence.
• Experience with native mobile testing tools like UI Automator, Espresso/Compose, and XCUITest.
• Understanding of Android UI/UX, application design paradigms, and automated app testing.
• Knowledge in Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile, RxJava2, Dagger2, and API automation testing experience.
• Interest in commercial vehicles/trucking is a plus.
