Remote Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) - Midnight

Description:

• The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will be a key contributor on the Midnight team at IOHK, focusing on developing regulatory-friendly data protection-based blockchain solutions.
• The role involves collaborating with the Head of QA to design and execute robust test strategies for blockchain products.
• Responsibilities include developing and executing a comprehensive testing strategy, leading testing of new initiatives, maintaining automated test scripts, conducting manual testing, identifying and tracking defects, and planning and conducting performance testing.
• The SDET will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the testability, reliability, and scalability of blockchain solutions.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an SDET or in a similar quality assurance/testing role.
• Proficiency in automation skills, including writing automated test scripts and establishing CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of blockchain technology, software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies, Agile, and DevOps practices.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
• Experience with modern testing frameworks, Git, SDLC, CI/CD tools, and API testing.
• Proficiency with Linux, experience in performance and security testing, and familiarity with Virtualization using Docker are beneficial.
• Experience with TypeScript, Javascript, Rust, or other programming languages is advantageous.
