Remote Software Engineer

Description:

• The Associate Software Engineer will be part of the Legal, Privacy, and Sustainability Platform Development and Reliability Engineering Organization within Corporate Technology at NBCUniversal.
• The role involves designing and developing backend and RESTful services for the Legal Platform.
• Responsibilities include implementing Infrastructure as Code, maintaining the ORM and Data Access Layer, and supporting batch services in AWS.
• The engineer will collaborate with Senior and Mid-level Software Engineers, engage in Agile scrum software development, and contribute to product enhancements.
• They will also troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and participate in code reviews.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience as a software engineer with a willingness to learn and grow.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teammates and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Typescript, Object-Oriented Programming, REST APIs, and Git tooling.
• Basic understanding of Infrastructure as Code, Agile/Scrum practices, and relational databases.
• Ability to work remotely and engage with widely distributed teams.
