Back-End Engineers will tackle cutting-edge challenges and develop innovative solutions to advance technology and deliver customer value.
Responsibilities include designing large scale, multi-tenant distributed control planes for ML and Data processes, and modern Golang-based gRPC services.
Engineers will build core algorithms for scaling distributed ML and Data systems, as well as distributed scheduling systems on Kubernetes.
The role involves creating simple, elegant APIs for ML Engineers, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Systems Administrators.
Managing terabytes of data efficiently and securely is a key responsibility.
High-performance Golang and Rust applications will be implemented to scale to millions of operations per second.
Engineers will work directly with customers, the open-source community, and internal team members to deliver value across multiple organizations.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must have a minimum of 7+ years of experience building scalable, performant distributed services in any strongly-typed language.
Proven discipline in checking in well-tested and well-documented code is essential.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for seamless integration with a global team and the open-source community.
Expertise in maintaining and debugging live software systems is required.
Candidates should have the ability to identify tasks that require automation and carry out the automation process.
High autonomy is expected; candidates should be able to make effective decisions in the absence of perfect information and oversight.
