OnePay is a consumer financial services app aimed at helping people achieve financial progress.
The company addresses the needs of tens of millions of unbanked or underbanked Americans by providing accessible banking, credit, and payment products.
The products include checking and high-yield savings accounts, domestic and international peer-to-peer payments, credit builder and credit score monitoring, digital wallet/contactless payment solutions, and buy-now-pay-later installment loans at Walmart.
The Software Engineer will build products and systems that serve customers and run the company.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing new features, APIs, and products, collaborating with other engineers, architecting scalable and reliable products, maintaining documentation, and solving complex problems related to financial data at scale.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of professional experience in product-facing backend development.
A strong track record of delivering high-impact features and products is required.
Experience in building, maintaining, and optimizing APIs is necessary.
Candidates should demonstrate drive and proactivity, as everyone at OnePay is expected to be a builder and executor.
Familiarity with functional programming concepts is preferred, but experience with specific tools like fp-ts, Node/TypeScript, Kubernetes, and AWS is not mandatory.
