Description:

  • SevenRooms is hiring a remote Software Engineer to engineer highly performant, mission-critical systems designed for agile development and rapid scaling.
  • The role involves partnering with other engineers, product managers, and designers to create real solutions that empower SevenRooms for growth.
  • The position reports directly to the VP of Engineering.
  • The 7R Technology organization focuses on building products that help restaurants create magical experiences every day.
  • The team is small but rapidly growing, consisting of engineers, scientists, and builders dedicated to transforming the hospitality industry.

  • The tech stack includes Python, Typescript, ReactJS, Redux, Django, App Engine, Cloud Firestore, Memcache, Cloud Tasks, Firebase, BigQuery, Elasticsearch, and more.
  • Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and improving software with a focus on customer-facing features, being the technical owner of features, managing project priorities, deadlines, code quality, and participating in on-call duties.

Requirements:

  • A BS degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field of study, or equivalent professional experience is required.
  • Candidates must have experience developing web applications.
  • Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, and software design is necessary.
  • A minimum of 3 years of software engineering experience is required.
  • Experience with Python and ReactJS is preferred but not mandatory.
