Description:
Natera is seeking a Software Engineer III to design, develop, and maintain a web portal application for providers in the Japanese oncology space.
The role involves improving user experience and functionality to positively impact patient outcomes.
The Software Engineer III will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of microservices for a Japan-specific provider-facing web portal.
The position requires working with a mix of modern and legacy technologies in a rapidly changing environment.
The engineer will participate in design and technical implementation decisions, guiding stakeholders to ensure high standards of excellence for Japanese users.
Close collaboration with Product Managers is essential to gather requirements and support software from ideation to release, operation, and maintenance.
The role includes designing, building, and maintaining highly available systems to support business applications, users, providers, and patients.
Support for QA activities in conjunction with QA engineering teams is also part of the responsibilities.
Requirements:
Candidates must be fluent in Japanese with native-level proficiency, both written and spoken.
A minimum of 5 years of overall software development experience is required, preferably in secure, scalable web applications using NodeJS, TypeScript, React, and other web technologies.
Experience with front-end development is necessary.
Familiarity with software development lifecycle processes, including building, software configuration, releases, and deployment activities, is required.
Extensive knowledge and experience with Test-Driven Development and/or Domain-Driven Development is essential.
Experience with service-oriented and microservice architecture is required.
Candidates should have experience building, maintaining, troubleshooting, and expanding software within the AWS ecosystem, including EC2, ECS, Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, and S3.
Knowledge of GraphQL and REST API design, as well as event-driven architecture using distributed event stores (such as Kafka), is necessary.
Strong relational database skills, including database design and optimization, are required.
Demonstrated teamwork skills and a solid analytical background are essential.
Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills are required.
