Remote Software Engineer

Description:

• Avalanche Laboratory is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join their innovative development team.
• The role involves contributing to the design, development, optimization, and management of Apache Kafka infrastructure and applications.
• The first project will be in the iGambling industry.
• Responsibilities include designing and developing Kafka-based applications, implementing and optimizing data streaming processes, deploying and maintaining Kafka clusters, collaborating with cross-functional teams, integrating Kafka with other systems, optimizing application performance, working with big data technologies, implementing monitoring solutions, and troubleshooting incidents related to Kafka functionality.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of combined experience as a Software Engineer, Kafka Engineer, or a similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kafka and related technologies.
• Proficiency in Java or Scala programming for Kafka application development.
• Familiarity with messaging and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of data serialization formats such as Avro, JSON, or Protobuf.
• Understanding of version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience with Kafka Streams for stream processing is a plus.
