Description:

The position is for a Software Engineer 4 in the TV & Web Player Platform team, located in the United States and is a remote role.
The engineer will focus on improving the video player experience across TV and Web devices.
Responsibilities include developing and automating tests to ensure high-quality streaming, collaborating with external partners, and troubleshooting issues to enhance user experience.
The role involves working with a cross-functional team, including UI, Encoding, Streaming Algorithms, and Security teams, to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of the video player.
The engineer will have the opportunity to shape the future of streaming quality and playback on multiple platforms and devices.
Key accountabilities include developing and automating tests, collaborating with external browser vendors, conducting A/B tests, identifying and troubleshooting streaming media playback issues, and contributing to continuous integration and release management testing.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in test development and software engineering.
Proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js is required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
Excellent communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Experience with A/B testing and developing experiments is a plus.
Familiarity with streaming media playback or video players is also a plus.
