Description:
CaptivateIQ is a leading sales commission platform recognized by industry analysts and trusted by category leaders and innovators.
The engineering team is multicultural, highly collaborative, fully distributed, and focuses on building best-in-class products powered by innovative technologies.
The role involves maintaining the core platform that compensation admins use to build and operate sales compensation models in CaptivateIQ.
The Setup & Manage team enables customers to set up and maintain CaptivateIQ easily and efficiently, focusing on improving foundational elements of the platform.
Responsibilities include designing, building, optimizing, and maintaining CaptivateIQ's data and core platform functionality.
The role requires participation in the product development process from start to finish, maintaining high engineering and security standards, and working with engineers across the company to develop and iterate at scale.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in a software engineering role.
Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms, are required.
Experience with both frontend and backend development is necessary.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Proficiency with Python, Django, and React is required.
Experience with a relational database such as PostgreSQL or MySQL is necessary.
A demonstrated track record of taking responsibility and ownership over core product areas is required.
Experience delivering results while working cross-functionally with Product and Design is necessary.
Candidates must have a sharp attention to detail and a user-centric focus.
Experience making data-driven decisions on product and process is required.
Experience building or maintaining a positive, productive remote-first culture is necessary.
