Second Front Systems (2F) is seeking an ambitious and visionary Software Engineer to join their mission-driven team.

The Software Engineer will drive the engineering strategy behind the deployment and scaling of the Game Warden platform, which accelerates the secure adoption of mission-critical SaaS solutions for the U.S. government.
Responsibilities include building and scaling the UI frontend and RESTful API backend as part of a distributed development team, participating in code reviews, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement new features, and engaging in agile development by writing and maintaining code.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions and a willingness to learn and grow with the team.
An understanding of basic containerization using Docker is required.
Familiarity with PostgreSQL database management is necessary.
Candidates should have an understanding of basic systems development concepts, including REST APIs, Authentication, and Event-driven architectures.
The ability to work independently and collaborate with team members in a remote environment is essential.
A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is required.
Preferred qualifications include 1-2 years of Software Engineering experience with problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, experience working with relevant technologies, and experience in a startup environment.
Knowledge of DevSecOps tools and practices and previous experience in national security are also preferred.

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $104,000 to $128,000 per year.
