Description:

Velocity is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer who excels in fast-paced environments and enjoys building products from scratch.
The role involves designing, building, and refining features requested by early customers.
Responsibilities include investigating and resolving reported issues, building and testing prototypes, optimizing existing code, writing automated tests, supporting the rollout of new features, contributing to technical documentation, and taking on additional engineering tasks as needed.
The ideal candidate is a pragmatic problem solver who thrives in ambiguity, has experience developing and maintaining production applications, communicates effectively, and prioritizes speed in execution.

Requirements:

Candidates must have proficiency in SvelteKit or a modern frontend framework such as React or Vue.
Experience with ShadCN, Flowbite, Tailwind CSS, and basic UI/UX skills to create low-fidelity mockups in Figma is preferred.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in building and maintaining production backend applications is required, along with strong backend development experience in Node.js, TypeScript, or other backend stacks.
Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB is essential, with 2+ years of experience in TypeScript and Node.js being preferred.
Candidates should have experience managing cloud resources in Vercel, DigitalOcean, or Fly.io, and familiarity with GitHub Actions or other CI/CD tools is preferred.
Basic knowledge of DNS configuration is also required, with experience in containerized applications being a plus.
