Description:
The Software Engineer will develop and maintain software applications for a public health association serving local, tribal, and territorial populations.
This role is part of the Workforce Acceleration Initiative (WAI), a federally funded program aimed at enhancing public health agencies' technology and data capabilities.
The position is remote, but candidates must be based in the United States.
The salary range is $103,500-$143,500 per year, with individual offers based on experience and qualifications.
Office hours require availability for meetings between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Eastern Time, with flexibility based on employee location.

Experience with software development frameworks and libraries, such as Laravel and Node.js, is necessary.
Familiarity with AWS tools and DevOps functions is required.
Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL) and version control tools (e.g., Git) is essential.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities are required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical partners.
Experience working on cross-functional teams in a user-focused environment is required.
Flexibility to adapt to evolving project requirements and priorities is essential.
Experience working in a virtual environment with remote partners and teams is preferred.
